Almazbek Beishenalievholds a Master's degree from Ludwigsburg University of Education, Germany, a Doctor of Philosophy in History and a Doctor of Philosophy in Education from Kyrgyz National University, and has completed postdoctoral studies at Johns Hopkins University, USA.
He has served successively as a Professor at Kyrgyz National University, a Visiting Professor at Johns Hopkins University, and a Guest Professor at the Russian Academy of Sciences. Currently, he holds the position of Director of the Central Asia Research Institute of Kyrgyzstan and Honorary Research Fellow of the National Academy of Sciences of Kyrgyzstan.
Professor Beishenaliev is an internationally renowned expert in education. He has rich leadership experience in the education and foreign affairs departments of the Kyrgyz government, and has been awarded medals and certificates by the President, Prime Minister, Ministry of Education, and Ministry of Emergency Management of Kyrgyzstan for six times.
Lecture Content
Professor Almazbek Beishenaliev’s report mainly focuses on exploring the new pattern of regional cooperation among SCO member states after the 2025 SCO Tianjin Summit. First, the professor will focus on analyzing the strategic significance and development trends of deepened cooperation among member states in the fields of education and science and technology, including educational resource sharing in the digital era, the establishment of joint scientific research and innovation platforms, and cross-border cooperation mechanisms for talent development. At the same time, he will also pay attention to the cooperation and coordination issues among member states at different development levels, and discuss how to promote more balanced regional development through policy dialogue and institutional innovation. Finally, the report will look forward to the far-reaching impact of education and science and technology cooperation under the SCO framework on the future innovative development and socio-economic transformation of the Eurasian region, as well as its key role in advancing the regional integration process. Professor Edmund Li Sheng believes that the SCO plays a crucial role in building an "Education and Science and Technology Community" and assesses its potential leading role in the Eurasian continental innovation system.
