Recently, the fifth episode Genuine Development Lies in Common Development of the large-scale theoretical communication program The Road Ahead: A Visit to Chinese-Style Modernization, produced by Jiangsu Broadcasting Corporation, in which Professor Edmund Sheng — a Distinguished Professor at Shandong University, a Distinguished Expert of the Taishan Scholars Program, and Executive Dean of the Institute for Shanghai Cooperation Organization Studies — was invited to participate, has been broadcast simultaneously on Jiangsu TV and the Lizhi News platform.

In the program, centering on the construction and practice of the SCO Local Economic and Trade Cooperation Demonstration Zone, Professor Edmund Sheng systematically elaborated on the practical significance and contemporary value of regional cooperation in improving the global governance system.

Edmund Sheng pointed out that regional cooperation is becoming an important breakthrough to remedy deficiencies in global governance and promote the inclusive transformation of governance models. The development practice of the SCO Demonstration Zone has precisely found an effective convergence point between major-country strategies and regional cooperation.
