Drawing on his over 40 years of editorial experience and achievements in driving the leapfrog development of multiple academic journals, Editor-in-Chief Tian Weiping conducted an in-depth analysis of the publication dilemmas faced by young scholars. He first elaborated on the essential differences between dissertation and journal articles from an academic perspective: dissertations focus on demonstrating existing knowledge stock, while journal articles emphasize knowledge increment and innovation, serving as public intellectual products that integrate in-depth content with formal aesthetics. Regarding writing strategies, Editor-in-Chief Tian emphasized that excellent article titles should possess both visual impact and reading appeal. He demonstrated on-site how to transform plain descriptions into engaging academic propositions through unique topic entry points and refined wording, vividly illustrating the mental shift from self-oriented writing to public communication-oriented writing.

During the interactive exchange session, teachers and students engaged in in-depth discussions on hot topics such as the operation of the external review mechanism, the boundaries of interdisciplinary submissions, and journal topic planning. In his summary, Edmund Sheng noted that Editor-in-Chief Tian Weiping's lecture not only imparted highly practical publication skills but also reflected the profound insights and sense of responsibility of a senior publisher toward the academic community. This lecture is of great guiding significance for enhancing the awareness of academic standards and scientific research innovation capabilities among teachers and students of the school.
