Recently, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Think Tank Forum, themed "Building a Better Home for the SCO," kicked off in Shanghai, China. ProfessorEdmund Li Sheng, Distinguished Professor at the School of Political Science and Public Administration and Executive Dean of the InstituteofSCOStudies, Shandong University,was invited to attend.

The forum was jointly organized by the China Institute of International Studies, Shanghai University of Political Science and Law, the China SCO Research Center, and the China-SCO International Judicial Exchange and Training Base.All the former SCO Secretaries-General delivered keynote speeches at the event.
During the sub-forumthemed"Building a Better Home for the SCO," Professor Edmund Li Sheng shared his research on the "China-Europe Railway Express under the Russia-Ukraine Conflict." He also visited the China-SCO International Judicial Exchange and Training Base,andengaged in extensive discussions with SCO Deputy Secretary-General Oleg Kopylov and other experts in related fields.

On the sidelines of the forum, Professor Edmund Li Sheng met with Sergey Shakhray,former Russian Deputy Prime Minister, Dmitrii Lukiantsev, Consul of the Russian Consulate General in Shanghai, and Andrei Andreev, Consul of the Belarusian Consulate General in Shanghai, exchanging views on issues related to the SCO.
The SCO Think Tank Forum provided a platform for dialogue among SCO member states, including China, contributing to enhanced solidarity, regional prosperity, security, and sustainable development. Professor Edmund Li Sheng’s participation and insights injected the wisdom of Shandong University into the advancement of regional cooperation mechanisms.
