Professor Sheng Li of Shandong University Participates in the 13th China-Russia Arctic Forum

Recently, the "13th China-Russia Arctic Forum" kicked off in Qingdao, Shandong Province, with nearly 30 Russian scholars and nearly 50 Chinese scholars participating in the forum. Professor Sheng Li, a distinguished professor at the School of Politics and Public Administration of Shandong University and Executive Dean of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Institute, was invited to attend.

Professor Sheng Li presided over the sub-forum on "Utilization and Cooperation of Arctic Shipping Routes" and presented a keynote speech titled "The New Frontier of National Security: A Case Study of Arctic Security" at the sub-forum on "Arctic Cooperation and Global Governance," sharing his research on related topics. During the forum, Professor Sheng Li also engaged in extensive and in-depth exchanges with Russian experts such as Anton Vasiliev, former Russian Ambassador to Iceland, Anatolii Nikolaevich Nikolaev, President of Northeastern Federal University, and Roman Kuchin, President of Yugorsk State University.

 

The China-Russia Arctic Forum provided a platform for experts and scholars from both countries in related fields to exchange ideas, which is conducive to promoting comprehensive cooperation between the two countries in the Arctic region and facilitating the construction of the "Ice Silk Road." Professor Sheng Li's participation and discussions injected Shandong University's wisdom into strengthening Eurasian connectivity, promoting the construction of regional cooperation mechanisms, and building a community with a shared future for mankind.
