From October 30th to November 3rd, in order to thoroughly study and implement the spirit of the National Education Congress, vigorously cultivate and promote the spirit of educators, and strengthen teacher ethics education, the Qingdao Campus held a special seminar on teacher ethics with the theme of "Promoting the Spirit of Educators and Writing a New Chapter in Building a Powerful Education Nation" in Qufu. Li Zhaoxiang, Vice President of Qufu Normal University, and Xing Zhanjun, Assistant to the President and Secretary of the Party Working Committee of the Qingdao Campus, attended the training event.

At the opening ceremony, Xing Zhanjun stated that this seminar was an important measure taken by the campus to implement the spirit of the National Education Congress and strengthen teacher ethics construction. It was also a practical need to thoroughly implement the spirit of the 15th Party Congress of the school and accelerate the creation of a "new engine" for building a world-class university. Participants in the seminar should strengthen their teacher identity with the spirit of educators, deeply understand the connotation, structure, and internal requirements of the spirit of educators, systematically study President Xi Jinping's important expositions on education, cultivate noble teacher ethics, strive to improve their education and teaching levels, and devote themselves to teaching and scientific research with greater enthusiasm, higher morale, and a more solid work style. They should strive to be "great teachers for learning, deeds, and character" in the new era.

Wang Jingrui, Minister of the Organization, Propaganda, and United Front Work Department of the Party Working Committee of the Qingdao Campus, presided over the opening ceremony. Hu Yajun, Vice President of Jining Political Virtue Education Cadre Academy, Zhu Wei, Deputy Director of the Teacher Affairs Department of the school, and Liu Peng, Deputy Director of the Personnel Department of the Qingdao Campus, also attended the opening ceremony.

The seminar lasted for five days, focusing on the ideological and political guidance of young teachers and the construction of teacher ethics. It adopted various methods such as classroom teaching, field teaching, and discussion seminars. During the classroom teaching sessions, specially-appointed professors of Shandong University Yang Chaoming and Li Zhaoxiang, and Professor Zhang Wenzhen from Shandong Provincial Party School delivered special lectures on topics such as "Doing a Good Job in the 'Second Combination' and Enhancing Cultural Confidence - Thoroughly Studying and Implementing Xi Jinping's Cultural Thought", "Inheriting the Spirit of Chinese Teachers and Becoming Educators in the New Era", and "Promoting Confucian Self-Cultivation Thought and Nurturing the Virtue of Cadres in Governance". Professors from Jining Political Virtue Education Cadre Academy Zhong Shuxian and Wang Yiguo from Shandong Provincial Party School presented case studies on topics such as "The Weishan Practice of Xi Jinping's Thought on Ecological Civilization" and "Warnings from the Confessions of Cadres Who Violated Discipline and Law". During the field teaching sessions, participants visited Confucius Temple, Confucius Mansion, Confucius Research Institute, Confucius Museum, Weishan Island Railway Guerilla Memorial Park, and other places to gain an in-depth understanding of Confucius and his educational thoughts, recall the martyrs of the revolution, and conduct ideal and belief education.

During the seminar, teacher workshops, group discussions, and young scholar salons were also conducted. In the teacher workshops, backbone teachers and representatives of young teachers from the campus exchanged views on the themes of "Strengthening the Political Guidance and Political Absorption of Young Teachers" and "Promoting the Spirit of Educators and Cultivating Noble Teacher Ethics", and put forward a series of practical suggestions and opinions, further consolidating the consensus on promoting the spirit of educators and writing a new chapter in building a powerful education nation. In the young scholar salons, young scholars shared their latest research progress, broadened their horizons, and deepened exchanges.

At the closing ceremony, Sheng Li, specially-appointed professor of Shandong University and class monitor of the seminar, summarized the training, and representatives from each group shared their learning experiences. Participants expressed that conducting teacher ethics seminars in Qufu, the hometown of Confucius, was of far-reaching significance. Through theoretical learning, case teaching, field study, and other sessions, they gained a deeper understanding of the spirit of educators. In the future, they will integrate the knowledge and reflections gained from this seminar into their daily education and teaching practice, lead by example, teach by precept and example, vigorously promote and practice the spirit of educators, devote themselves to fostering character and cultivating talent, and strive to be "teachers with good politics, morality, teaching ability, and a sense of mission" in the new era. The closing ceremony was hosted by Zhang Sihua, temporary secretary of the Party Branch of the seminar and secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Computer Science and Technology.

This seminar was jointly organized by the Organization, Propaganda, and United Front Work Department and the Personnel Department of the Party Working Committee of the Qingdao Campus, and hosted by Jining Political Virtue Education Cadre Academy in Shandong. More than 40 people, including heads of relevant functional departments of the campus, overseas returnees, young teachers, and backbone teachers from various teaching and research units, participated in the seminar.
