
Deputy Dean and Chair Professor, School of Hotel and Tourism Management, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University; Chan Chak Fu & Mrs. Chan International Professor in Tourism; Director of the Research Centre for Digital Transformation in Tourism. He has been honored with the "John Wiley and Sons Lifetime Research Achievement Award" by the International Council on Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Education (I-CHRIE) and the "Michael D. Olsen Hotel and Tourism Research Achievement Award" by the University of Delaware. His research focuses on tourism demand modeling and forecasting, tourist satisfaction, and tourism development strategies. He has published over 100 papers in top international academic journals such asAnnals of Tourism ResearchandTourism Management, and has led numerous international consulting and planning projects, including those for the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), the Guangdong Tourism Satellite Account, and the Hong Kong Tourism Demand Forecasting System. He serves as Editor-in-Chief ofJournal of China Tourism Researchand Associate Editor ofAnnals of Tourism Research, and is a senior consultant to institutions such as the Hong Kong Tourism Commission and the Policy Research Office of the Government of the Macao Special Administrative Region.
