Ph.D. from Fudan University. She is currently Dean of the Institute of International Communication, East China Normal University. Previously, she served as Dean of the School of Communication, East China Normal University, and is a Changjiang Scholar Distinguished Professor of the Ministry of Education and a Zijiang Scholar Distinguished Professor of East China Normal University. Her main research areas include international communication, Marxist journalism, and communication political economy. She has authored works such asCountryside and Revolution,Documenting China, andDislocation: Chinese Narratives and Visual Politics in the Post-Cold War Era, which have been translated into English, French, German, Japanese, Korean and other languages. She serves as a member of the editorial board of numerous top domestic and international journals and book series in related fields.
