Professor of the School of Political Science and Public Administration, Director of the Center for Russian and Central Asian Studies; Deputy Director of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Research Institute, at Shandong University. An Adjunct Professor in the Department of International Relations at the University of St. Petersburg, Russia, 2004-2011; An Adjunct Professor at the People's Friendship University of Russia, 2023-2024. He is also a member of the editorial board of the Journal of the People's Friendship University of Russia. He underwent further studies in the Department of Political Science at the University of Vienna, Austria, from March to December 1999, and in the Department of International Relations at the University of St. Petersburg, Russia, from 2004 to 2006. He was a senior visiting scholar at the People's Friendship University of Russia, from August 2023 to February 2024.
He has taught courses for both undergraduate and graduate students including Introduction to International Politics, Diplomacy, International Organizations and International Relations, Culture and International Relations, Russian Politics and Diplomacy, and European Politics and International Relations.
